The construction sector has played a crucial role in the national economy, driving both GDP and employment. However, despite being a growth engine, the sector still faces challenges that hinder its progress and adaptation to modern demands, such as a shortage of skilled labour.
In addition to this workforce issue, there is also an ageing and outdated housing stock that requires investment in refurbishment and maintenance, along with qualified professionals to carry out these renovations. This need underscores one of the sector’s primary short-term objectives: addressing the demand for skilled labour capable of meeting the climate and energy targets for 2030 set by the European Union.
Por ello, ‘Construye 2030’ establece como objetivo principal determinar qué competencias serán necesarias para abordar la transición energética en el sector de la construcción y concienciar sobre la creación de edificios de consumo de energía cero y la utilización eficiente de los recursos.
Therefore, ‘Construye 2030’ sets as its main objective to determine what skills will be needed to address the energy transition in the construction sector and to raise awareness on energy-efficient renovations, the construction of zero-energy buildings and the efficient use of resources.
