Today, representatives of the seven partner institutions of the BUILD UP Skills ‘Construye 2030’ project, co-financed by the LIFE Clean Energy Transition programme of the European Commission, met at the headquarters of the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción (coordinating entity) to evaluate and validate the first result of the initiative: the Study on the Current Situation of the Construction Sector. A Status Quo on the training needs of the sector to achieve the energy performance of buildings and contribute to the European Objectives of 2030.
The aim of this meeting was to present to all the partners, in a global way, the main conclusions obtained in the field study, in which twenty interviews with experts and three working groups were carried out.
In this way, the partners had the opportunity to assess the degree of agreement or disagreement with the statements made and to complement them. These conclusions were organised into thematic blocks:
- Energy efficiency and use of renewable energies in general.
- The construction sector in general.
- Current regulations.
- The role of the administration.
- Training.
- The most demanded jobs in the sector.
- Barriers to training.
This was followed by a debate in which the experts were asked to explain their position on each of the major thematic blocks analysed, the data were recorded and a basic statistical analysis was carried out.
