The Fundación Laboral de la Construcción presents the ‘Construye 2030’ project at the event on construction and digitisation of the sector

On 25 January, the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción presented the BUILD UP Skills ‘Construye 2030’ project at the conference on “Construction and digitalisation of the sector”, held at the organisation’s training centre in Granada.

The event was part of the Universidad Pyme initiative, promoted by the Fundación Estatal para la Formación en el Empleo (Fundae) and the Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal (SEPE), in coordination with territorial administrations and sectorial social agents, included in the “Plan Nacional de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia” (National Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience). The aim of this event was to promote digital transformation among SMEs, freelancers and entrepreneurs of Granada, making new digital and training resources available to them.

Among them, the work of the ‘Construye 2030’ project, co-financed by the European Commission’s LIFE Clean Energy Transition programme, has been highlighted in its efforts to bring the reality of the sector closer to the people. To this end, the project is made up of a consortium made up of eight Spanish entities from the business, labour, education and research sectors, with the collaboration of more than 50 experts from the sector.

Esther Rodríguez, project technician at the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, presented the objectives and challenges faced by the partners in their efforts to determine what skills professionals in the sector should have in order to achieve the climate Objetives of the 2030 Agenda.
