The Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, as the coordinating organization, presented the BUILD UP Skills project ‘Construye 2030’, on 22 May, at the 23rd edition of the Construmat Fair, the construction trade fair in Spain.
During the session, Esther Rodríguez, Training Projects technician at the parity entity has emphasised the need to identify the training that the sector needs to design and execute energy renovations and carry out the construction of buildings with almost zero energy consumption, under the criteria of circularity and energy efficiency set by Europe for the decarbonisation of the sector, by 2030.
In addition to defending the objective of the ‘Construye 2030’ project, during his speech he presented the results contained in the Training Roadmap, which includes various training measures and other actions that not only favour the requalification of workers in the sector, but also attract women, young people and professionals from other sectors to the construction sector.
The Fundación Laboral de la Construcción of Catalonia was present from 21 to 23 May at Fira Barcelona’s Gran Vía exhibition centre, where they welcomed more than 600 visitors who visited the stand of the parity entity and took part in the different activities: orientation and employment space, presentations at the Sustainable Building Congress, practical demonstrations in the Workshop area, and the innovation area with the construction machinery simulators and virtual reality (VR) glasses.
