The ‘Construye 2030’ partners organise sixth project meeting

On 3 June, the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción welcomed the partners of the BUILD UP Skills ‘Construye 2030’ project: The National Construction Confederation (CNC); Comisiones Obreras del Hábitat (CCOO-Hábitat); the Federation of Industry, Construction and Agriculture of the General Union of Workers (UGT-FICA); the Eduardo Torroja Institute of Construction Sciences, belonging to the Spanish National Research Council (IETcc-CSIC); the State Foundation for Employment Training (FUNDAE); and Green Building Council Spain (GBCe); to address the training needs of the sector in terms of sustainability.

During the meeting, the partners approved the results of the Study on the current situation of the construction sector in Spain, which identifies what training is needed for professionals in the sector to properly design and implement comprehensive energy renovations and nearly zero-energy buildings.

In addition, the training measures included in the Roadmap of the ‘Construye 2030’ project were presented, which are considered necessary for the construction sector to move towards the 2030 Objectives.
